Becoming a KidZone Volunteer!

At Refinery Church, we're aiming to inspire children to become followers of Jesus.  We want to help families with this by providing amazing environments where they can learn about God's love for them in a community of kids and TRUSTED leaders.  The key word here is TRUSTED!

Safety is at the top of our list when it comes to the those who are entrusted to us in KidZone and  having a quality team of volunteers is a key part of that.  That's why we've got these 4 important steps that we're asking all potential leaders to go through.

Thank you for taking the time to do this.  If you have any questions during the process, please send me an email (mark@refinerychurch.ca) or call me (780-462-5233).  I'll gladly answer any questions.

Step 1: Starting Point

We think the best place to start is at Starting Point! Whether you are new to Refinery Church or have been around for a long time, this is an opportunity to find out what the church is about and what the next steps are that we hope you'll take.  One of those is serving others.

Please click the link below to sign up for our next Starting Point or for more information, please contact Mark Williams at mark@refinerychurch.ca or 780-462-5233.

Step 2: KZ Volunteer Interview

We think conversations are better than filling out forms.  So, this is just an opportunity to sit down and find out a little more about you, hear why you want to help out in KidZone and talk about where the best spot is for you to serve.

To figure out a time to do this, please click the link below to email Mark Williams.

Step 3: References

Just doing our due diligence.  We'd like you to forward this link (refinerychurch.ca/kz-reference) to 3 people that know you well and who are not related to you.  It should only take them a few minutes to fill it out.

Step 4: Police Information Check

We require KidZone volunteers (18 years old or older) to do a Police Information Check.  It's one more way to protect kids and to help us and parents be confident that we have quality leaders.
