WORSHIP PASTOR - Part Time (up to 20 hrs/wk)

Overview
 

Refinery Church is searching for a gifted and passionate leader who loves worship and wants to see people connect to Jesus through the weekend experience. We view our Sunday gathering as an opportunity for new guests to be introduced to the person and message of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to create an engaging environment where relevant messages and contemporary music would point people to Jesus and encourage first time guests to want to come again. This person will oversee the music and related elements of our Sunday gatherings. Our church averages 135 people each Sunday, and we have a strong desire to reach our city for Christ!
 

Responsibilities:
 

1. Serve as the primary worship leader, working collaboratively with the Lead Pastor and volunteers, to plan and execute weekly services, and special services.
2. Recruit and develop team members and new leaders.
3. Assume responsibility as the primary shepherd for volunteers in this area of ministry.
4. Lead in the development of lighting, sound, video, livestream, and volunteers needed
to run these aspects of the ministry.
 

Applicants must have the following core competencies:
 

• gifted vocalist and musician who can lead the congregation in worship
• the ability to lead volunteers and build teams including recruiting and training • a team player who works well with other staff members
• a servant leader’s heart
• desire to work in a fun environment!
